One of the SEC’s classic rivalries resumes on Saturday, as Auburn (5-4, 2-4 in SEC play) tries to continue getting their season back on track by welcoming Georgia (6-3, 4-3 in conference) to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Georgia vs. Auburn 2015: Start time, live stream, TV schedule and 3 things to know
The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry resumes.
It’s a chance to take bowl eligibility and score a marquee win in a season that’s still been a disappointment overall. Georgia may be dealing with their own rough season, but nothing soothes the savage fanbase quite like a big rivalry win. So both Mark Richt and Gus Malzahn could gain a little political capital from a win here.
Both teams got back on track to a degree last week, with Georgia taking care of business against Kentucky 26-3 behind Sony Michel’s 165 rushing yards and two touchdowns. The game was also the lowest point total Georgia’s allowed in conference play this season, something that embattled defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt needed badly.
Auburn, for its part, rebounded from a tough four-overtime loss against Arkansas with a 26-10 win over Texas A&M in College Station. The Tigers rushed for 311 yards on the Aggies, led by the first significant action for running back Jovon Robinson, with 29 carries for 159 yards and a touchdown.

Three big things to know
1. Quarterback quarterback, who’s got the quarterback?
Auburn doesn't yet know who they'll start under center, be it last week's hero Johnson, or injured Sean White, who to date has out-played Johnson. Meanwhile, Georgia was forced to use both Greyson Lambert and Brice Ramsay last week versus Kentucky, and thus far no decision has been made on the starter. Although the way these two teams are passing the ball, it may not matter.
2. Wildcat
Georgia had some success with the wildcat formation and and freshman wide receiver Terry Godwin against Kentucky, as he rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown. That’s always been a part of Auburn’s offense, and this year’s weapon is tailback Kerryon Johnson, especially in one of the team’s favorite plays, the Buck Sweep.
3. College kickers?
Georgia’s Marshall Morgan has struggled, hitting just 12 of 17 field goal attempts. Auburn’s Daniel Carlson, however, is having one of the best seasons of any kicker in the country, and will likely be a finalist for the Lou Groza Award. So Georgia may not want this to come down to a field goal.
