LSU carries French flag onto field following Paris attacks

Honoring victims of the attacks in Paris.

In the aftermath of the attacks in Paris on Friday, multiple teams across the country have shown their support for France. During their entrance in tonight’s Arkansas game, LSU’s captains entered the field with the French flag.

Historically, Louisiana has maintained strong ties to France. The state was owned by France until the Louisiana Purchase in 1803 and today, Louisiana’s culture is still heavily influenced by its French roots. Elsewhere, Army took to the field versus Tulane with a similar display and Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones featured an Eiffel Tower peace sign on his cleats via Twitter.
