Washington State stuns UCLA with game-winning TD in final seconds

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Washington State stunned No. 19 UCLA with a 31-27 comeback win at the Rose Bowl on Saturday night, culminated with this 21-yard touchdown pass from Luke Falk to Gabe Marks with just three seconds left in the fourth quarter.

The Cougars had an eight-point lead in the fourth quarter, but UCLA fought back with a pair of scoring drives. After a field goal with 7:14 remaining cut Washington State’s lead to five, the Bruins took the lead on a 37-yard touchdown run from quarterback Josh Rosen, who converted a pass for the two-point conversion and a 27-24 Bruins lead.

Falk, who passed for 331 yards in the game, then drove the team 75 yards in 66 seconds for the winning score. Washington State improves to 7-3, the program’s most wins since finishing 10-3 in 2003.
