Ole Miss star Denzel Nkemdiche in intensive care since Monday, according to report

Good morning. This is your college football roundup.

Rebel head coach Hugh Freeze said linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche is questionable for LSU due to “a personal matter,” which RebelGrove.com reports is as follows:

Nkemdiche remained in the intensive care unit of Baptist Memorial Hospital -- North Mississippi Wednesday night, sources confirmed to RebelGrove.com.

Nkemdiche, a former All-Southeastern Conference selection and a freshman All-American, was admitted to the hospital on Monday, according to sources. As of Wednesday night, Nkemdiche was conscious.

Nkemdiche appeared on preseason All-SEC lists, leads the No. 22 Rebels in tackles and is the brother of teammate and former No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche.

From walk-on to Heisman candidate? It's been a heckuva journey for Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, who has revived the Sooner Air-Raid.

Is Les Miles on the hot seat? Not yet, but it's not as far off as you might think. LSU fans are worried about what could be coming.

The Week in Schadenfreude: In which Mississippi State fans have a really weird plan for running Nick Saban out of Alabama.

Still denying? Charlie Strong addressed rumors of interest in the Hurricanes’ opening, which don’t seem to be going away.

Week 12 has the potential to throw the College Football Playoff rankings into chaos! The Solid Verbal has the breakdown:

The Shutdown Fullcast is ready for the return of Sassy Bob Stoops, and pitching Mariah Carey as Miami’s next head coach?

Wednesday Night #MACTION: Western Michigan had its shot but couldn’t quite row the boat past Norther Illinois, 27-19. The MAC West is still wide open with just a few games to go, and Hustle Belt has all the scenarios right here.

Thursday night will feature East Carolina taking on UCF. Underdog Dynasty has your preview here.

Hey that’s ... nice, I guess? Nick Saban was very complimentary of Georgia Southern, in a very cuss-y and poetic sort of way.

Dawg Sports is wondering if Georgia taking on that Georgia Southern team will give Paul Johnson and Georgia Tech a little too much tape to use.

BIG GAMES! Ohio State’s secondary is in for a challenge against Michigan State, even with an injured Connor Cook. How the outside zone play has helped improve Oklahoma State’s running game with Baylor coming to town. Our Daily Bears has the stats preview of that game here. Oklahoma is waiting to figure out whether TCU will have Trevone Boykin or not.

Still something to play for: Conquest Chronicles is breaking down Pac-12 South championship scenarios as USC prepares to travel to take on Oregon.

Over in the Big 10: Maize & Brew is previewing Michigan’s matchup with Penn State, and Bucky’s Fifth Quarter is getting ready for Northwestern.

Don’t try this at home: Paul, you can’t file workman’s comp if you hurt yourself dancin’.

Hey! That’s a ... name! North Dakota has a new team nickname and put at least 10 minutes into thinking it up.
