The Wisconsin cheerleaders on hand for a bone-chilling Saturday afternoon game against Northwestern left the field at Camp Randall Stadium after being pelted by snowballs thrown by their own fans.

One foot of snow + four hours of tailgating + zero points of offense = bad news for everyone at Camp Randall.

— Jesse Temple (@jessetemple) November 21, 2015 Madison was hit with nearly a foot of snow, which piled up in the seats and aisles of Camp Randall. The University’s police previously warned students not to throw snowballs:
C'mon students - we'd rather you not throw snowballs. But please do NOT throw at the field. If you're caught, you will be cited and ejected.
— UW-Madison Police (@UWMadisonPolice) November 21, 2015 As bad as the snowball throwing has been, the play on the field has been worse. The Badgers trail Northwestern 7-0 in the second quarter.
