College football odds 2015, Week 13: Baylor, Notre Dame among betting favorites

Oklahoma, Baylor and Notre Dame face tough road tests this week looking to make cases for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

The Baylor Bears have won three of their last four games against the TCU Horned Frogs, but TCU holds a 7-1 edge against the spread in the last eight games between these two teams. The Bears visit the Horned Frogs in what figures to be a classic Big 12 shootout this Friday night.

Baylor is a 1.5-point road favorite over TCU according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. With a 45-35 win over Oklahoma State last Saturday, the Bears kept their slim playoff hopes alive, and another win this week would keep that hope alive if other games shake out the right way.

The betting favorite is 0-4 ATS in the last four games between TCU and Baylor.

Also on Friday, two impressive one-loss teams will clash when the Navy Midshipmen visit the Houston Cougars. Houston’s undefeated season came to an end last week in a 20-17 loss to Connecticut as the Cougars were perhaps looking ahead to this game.

Navy is 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS this season and has averaged 48 points per game over the last three weeks. Houston is a one-point home favorite and is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games coming off a loss as a favorite.

The Oklahoma Sooners have played their way into contention for a playoff spot, and to keep those hopes alive they will need a road win this Saturday against Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State is a four-point home underdog after picking up its first loss of the season last Saturday against Baylor. Oklahoma is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 Week 13 games while Oklahoma State is just 1-7 in its last eight Week 13 games.

Notre Dame is also still alive in the playoff race, and could make a big statement in its final game of the regular season visiting the Stanford Cardinal.

The Fighting Irish have failed to cover the spread in three of their last four games according to the OddsShark College Football Database but are still 10-1 SU and 7-4 ATS on the season.

The road team has lost each of the last four games in this head-to-head matchup.
