Ohio State vs. Michigan 2015 odds: Buckeyes betting underdogs at Wolverines

The Ohio State Buckeyes will try to bounce back from their first loss of the season this Saturday when they visit the Michigan Wolverines.

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

The Ohio State Buckeyes are 4-1 straight up and against the spread in their last five road games against the Michigan Wolverines. The Buckeyes hope for another successful trip into the Big House this Saturday at Michigan.

Ohio State is going off as a 1.5-point road underdog on Saturday afternoon according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Michigan has been favored just one time in the previous 10 games between the Buckeyes and the Wolverines.

Through the first 10 games of the 2015 season, Ohio State rarely looked like the dominant team it was when it won the championship last year. Still, with a 10-0 SU and 4-6 ATS record, many believed that they were still on their way to an undefeated regular season.

But facing a Michigan State Spartans team without its starting quarterback at home last Saturday, the Buckeyes lost outright as a 14.5-point favorite. Shortly after the game, Ezekiel Elliott and Cardale Jones announced they would not return next year.

Will the Buckeyes be able to get refocused in a suddenly less meaningful game against their hated rivals? Ohio State is 10-1 SU and 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games against the Wolverines, per the OddsShark College Football Database.

Buckeyes vs. Wolverines OddsShark Matchup Report

Had the Michigan Wolverines not lost their game against the Michigan State Spartans on the last play of the game a month ago, the Wolverines could still be in contention for a playoff spot.

Head coach Jim Harbaugh has turned this team around faster than anyone could have predicted was possible, entering this game against Michigan’s hated rival with a 9-2 SU and 6-5 ATS record and a legitimate chance at a victory. Michigan is 7-2 SU and 5-3-1 ATS in its last nine games as a favorite of five points or less.

Saturday’s total is set at 45 points. The OVER is 6-0 in Michigan’s last six games while the UNDER is 9-1 in Ohio State’s last 10 games.

Michigan has been itching for the chance to beat its hated rival, and Saturday’s game looks like an excellent spot. At home and coming into this game without the letdown Ohio State is, the Wolverines should be able to come away with a win over the Buckeyes.
