The battle for the American Athletic Conference’s West division is also a battle between two of the country’s best dual-threat quarterbacks. Navy’s Keenan Reynolds is the FBS career record-holder for rushing touchdowns, and Houston’s Greg Ward Jr. is only two behind him on the year, with 19, despite injury.
Ward injured his ankle against Memphis and only contributed four throws and no carries last week against UConn, Houston’s only loss of the season so far. UH has adapted by having wildcat wide receivers take over parts of Ward’s rushing duties, but the ankle looks fine here!
