On Tuesday night, the Toledo Rockets made their first appearance in the College Football Playoff Top 25.

Four hours later, it could well be their last.

The Northern Illinois Huskies, on the arm and legs of backup quarterback Ryan Graham, knocked off the previously unbeaten Rockets 32-27 Tuesday night. Huskies quarterback Drew Hare was knocked out of the game in the first half, but Graham completed 9/12 pass attempts for 132 yards and ran 10 times for an additional 41. Graham completed two crucial passes in Northern Illinois' go-ahead possession, completing a 13-yard pass to Kenny Golladay on 3rd & 12 from deep in Huskies territory, then connected with Golladay again for 44 yards on the next possession.

Halfback Joel Bouagnon ran in the go-ahead score, and the NIU defense forced an interception on Toledo’s first play from scrimmage to cement the win.

Toledo’s loss reduces the number of undefeated teams in FBS football to 10: Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, LSU, Oklahoma State, Baylor, TCU, Houston and Memphis. The loss also opens up the MAC championship race, with the Rockets still set to face new MAC West leader Western Michigan in the season finale on Nov. 27 for a potential championship game berth.
