Only No. 1 Jacksonville State is in North Dakota State’s way of an FCS 5-peat
Can the Bison make history again?

North Dakota State has been absolutely dominant in the past half decade, and the Bison have a chance to win five titles in a row. They’re seeded third, and although they lost two regular season games — a rarity for them — they’ve taken care of business in the playoffs, beating seventh-seeded Richmond, 33-7 on Saturday. They haven’t won by less than 10 points in the playoffs.
However, Jacksonville State has a very good chance to take the Bison down. The Gamecocks’ only loss in a 13-1 season came against Auburn in overtime, and really, Jacksonville State should have won that game. They have no losses to teams in their division, compared to NDSU’s two. And that’s why JSU is the top seed in the playoffs. The Gamecocks got here by demolishing Sam Houston State, 62-10, in the semifinals, and they’ve scored at least 41 points in every playoff game.
We should get a high-scoring affair, with two teams that have powerful offenses, but also played extremely well on defense in their semifinal appearances.
