ESPN reporting that Joe Mixon may have lost consciousness on that hit, unlikely to return.
— Chuck Carlton (@ChuckCarltonDMN) January 1, 2016 Samaje Perine, who had left the game with a left leg injury on the prior drive, stretched out and went back into the game following the injury to Mixon. Whether the can stay in the game or not remains to be seen, but Alex Ross would be the next man in line to receive carries.
Last we heard from Mixon, he was participating in a terrible pre-bowl interview that happened to be his first public interview since being suspended for a year for punching a woman and breaking four bones in her face. He accepted a plea deal related to the incident in October 2014.
