Everyone likes it when linemen get the ball. They toil in the trenches for the whole game and never get the glory, but every once in a while a slip happens here, a fumble bounces the right way, and a 300-pound-plus wrecking ball of fun gets rolling into the end zone.
FINALLY, a trophy in appreciation of college football’s most amazing big dudes

Linemen have their traditional awards in the Rimington and Outland trophies, but we at SB Nation felt we needed to reward the lineman who performs the most un-lineman-like feat of the season. It’s not the Heisman Trophy, it’s even better:

— Bret Bielema (@BretBielema) July 28, 2015 Oh just play already. West Virginia and Pitt’s head coaches got into a bit of a snipe on Tuesday, with Pat Narduzzi saying the Panthers’ rivalry with Penn State is more important, and Dana Holgorsen essentially telling him to eat s---.
Meanwhile, Narduzzi called Ohio State quarterback-turned-H-back Braxton Miller the best running back he faced while at Michigan State.
Still the king. According to S&P+ projections, the SEC West is still the toughest division in college football, ahead of the Pac-12 South.
A complete history, kind of. Since it’s become the hip thing to do lately, we’ve compiled each college football coach who has had some complainin’ to do in regards to Notre Dame being an independent.
Ducks still flying. Marcus Mariota will be impossible to fully replace, but Oregon is still in good position to be the best team in the Pac-12 this year.
National No. 1 tight end Isaac Nauta decommits from Florida State, and Georgia seems like the new favorite.
All-name teamer. Handsome Tanielu, 305-pound local DT, commits to Utah.
Monster day for Kentucky. The Wildcats picked up three four-star commitments for 2017 in defensive end James Hudson, running back Michael Warren, and wide receiver (and UK legacy) Russ Yeast.
Lone Star swoop. Ole Miss landed four-star Texas defensive back Jaylon Jones, who boasts a strong list of offers.
Boost for the Devils. Arizona State picked up four-star quarterback Dillon Sterling-Cole, the last remaining uncommitted quarterback that participated at the 2015 Elite 11.
Back on the wall. After briefly being reintroduced to the active number list, Michigan is re-retiring jerseys, including those of Desmond Howard and President Gerald Ford. The one you've probably seen the most is Tom Harmon's No. 98, which was notably worn by quarterback Devin Gardner.
