Some Michigan folks appear to have vandalized the Spartan statue outside Michigan State’s football stadium some time late Thursday or early Friday. The statue was spray-painted with the Wolverines’ colors ahead of a top-10 matchup for the Spartans against Oregon Saturday.
A Michigan dental frat seems to have vandalized Michigan State’s statue. Yes, a dental frat.
Those darn dentists!

Vandals hit the iconic Spartan statue outside #SpartanStadium this morning. http://t.co/tNGeef98gA pic.twitter.com/QfvxMgZp7q
— WLNS Newsroom (@WLNS) September 11, 2015 This is not even the first time the statue has been painted over this year, and apparently it's the third time in the last three years. What makes this one special, however, are the greek letters painted on the statue. Classic fratboy initiation, right? Those boys on frat row are up to no good once again ...
Guess again! Alpha Omega is a dental fraternity, made up of dental students, graduate students and faculty. Go Fighting Teeth!
Lest you think this is a one-sided paint war, recall that in 2014 much of Michigan’s campus was spray-painted green in the week leading up to the Michigan State game.
