Few teams were as impressive in week one as Texas A&M. The Aggies dropped 38 points on an Arizona State team that most had pegged for a Pac-12 title contender, along with nine sacks while holding the Sun Devils to less than 4 yards per play. New defensive coordinator John Chavis appears to have made a quick impact in College Station, and may have breathed some life into the program.
How to watch Ball State vs. Texas A&M on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Texas A&M follows up last week’s impressive performance with some #MACtion.
That said, we all know it’s not the first time A&M has lit up a season opener only to fall back to Earth. But that’s not likely to happen this week. Ball State is coming off a 5-7 2014 season and allowed 547 yards of offense to VMI in a 48-36 win.
Players to watch in this one include A&M's defensive end combo of Myles Garrett and Daeshon Hall, and freshman wide receiver Christian Kirk, who had 224 all-purpose yards and a pair of highlight reel touchdowns against Arizona State. Kyle Allen will still start for at quarterback, but expect true freshman Kyler Murray to see some time.
How to watch, stream and listen
TV: Saturday, 7 p.m. ET, ESPNU
Radio: Texas A&M, Ball State

Three big things to know
1. Myles Garrett
If you haven’t watched the Aggie sophomore defensive end play, you’re definitely going to want to watch him play.
2. Counter-punch?
Running back Tra Carson had 29 carries for 96 yards against Arizona State last week. Developing a tougher running game has been a priority for Kevin Sumlin this season, so look for the Aggies to try and turn Carson loose this week.
3. Spreading the wealth
Both of these teams like to throw it, and Ball State had four different wide receivers catch at least six passes in week one. Look for them to make the Aggies try and defend every eligible man.
