Fresh off their week one smothering of Wisconsin out in Jerryworld, the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide return to the friendly confines of Bryant-Denny Stadium to take on Conference USA's Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders.
How to watch Middle Tennessee State vs. Alabama on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
The Tide welcome the Blue Raiders to Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Quarterback Jacob Coker was the Tide's mystery man at quarterback, and was downright efficient against the Badgers, completing 15 of 21 passes with a touchdown. But, as usual, the running game led the way with Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake combining for 224 yards and four touchdowns. Star linebacker Reggie Ragland had 12 tackles to lead an Alabama defense that allowed just 268 yards of total offense to Wisconsin.
MTSU had a dynamic season opener, albeit against FCS Jackson State. The Blue Raiders dropped 70 on JSU, with 364 passing yards and four touchdowns from quarterback Brent Stocksill and eight catches for 123 yards from wide receiver Ed'Marques Batties.

Three big things to know
1. Youth gone wild
Alabama’s always got tons of talented freshmen ready to contribute, and cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick (1 sack, 1 pass break-up vs. Wisconsin) and wide receiver Calvin Ridley (3 catches for 22 yards) are two playmakers the Tide want to see more of.
2. Homecoming!
MTSU has some 10 players from the state of Alabama, including senior fullback Corey McCarron, brother of AJ! And they will totally be welcomed home and not at all pummeled without mercy!
3. Run defense
Alabama held Wisconsin -- yes, that Wisconsin -- to just 40 yards on 21 carries last week. MTSU, even in the 56-point blowout against Jackson State, averaged just 3.7 yards per carry on the ground. Wonder what will happen?
