Auburn vs. LSU odds: Home Tigers big favorites over reeling War Eagle
Two potential playoff contenders in the SEC West collide as the underdog Auburn Tigers visit the favored LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge.

Louisiana State is a 7.5-point betting favorite over Auburn, according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Auburn is 4-1 ATS in its last five games against LSU.
Leonard Fournette was every bit as good as advertised in LSU’s season opener against Mississippi State last week. Fournette found the end zone three times and rushed for 159 yards on 28 carries in LSU’s 21-19 win. Brandon Harris did fine in the role of game manager, passing only 14 times for 71 yards and rushing five times with no turnovers.
But will Harris be able to rise up if the situation calls for it this weekend? Only time will tell. LSU is 7-0 SU and 4-3 ATS in its last seven home games against Auburn.

Quarterback Jeremy Johnson was hyped up as the next big thing in Auburn this offseason, drawing comparisons to players like Cam Newton and having his name come up in Heisman conversations. But through his first two games in 2015, Johnson has passed for just three touchdowns and five interceptions. His struggles last Saturday helped turn what should have been an easy tune-up against Jacksonville State into an overtime scare.
Johnson will need to be better if the Tigers are going to have any hope of upsetting LSU. Auburn is 0-3 SU and ATS in its last three conference games.
Saturday’s total is set at 49.5 points. The total has gone UNDER in six of LSU’s last seven games and in four of the last six games between Auburn and LSU, according to the OddsShark College Football Database.
Even with Will Muschamp’s tweaks on defense, the Auburn Tigers are ill-prepared to stop a rushing attack like the one led by Fournette. Johnson is an excellent talent that will sort out his issues eventually, but it doesn’t figure to happen overnight, especially on the road against LSU’s defense.
Take LSU to avenge last year’s loss with a double-digit win of their own this Saturday.
