The No. 9 Florida State Seminoles make their first road trip of the 2015 campaign Saturday night, when they visit Chestnut Hill to play Boston College. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET, with television coverage on ESPN.
How to watch Florida State vs. Boston College on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
The Seminoles open the ACC season in scenic Boston. Here’s how to watch it.
Florida State has breezed through its first two games against Texas State and South Florida, but the two victories have not come without concerns. The Seminoles struggled in the passing game against USF, with Notre Dame transfer quarterback Everett Golson completing just 14 of 26 attempts for 163 yards. Fortunately for the Seminoles, Dalvin Cook fixes everything. The sophomore halfback ran for 266 yards, the most in a single game by an FSU running back since 1981.
Cook could run into more formidable opposition Saturday night: Boston College has held its first two opponents to just 14 total rushing yards. Last week’s opponent, Howard, managed just 11 total yards in a 76-0 BC blowout. And while nobody is going to confuse Howard and Maine for Florida State, the 87-point margin of victory the Eagles racked up over their first two opponents shows that BC is capable of putting points on the board.

Three big things to know
1. ACC Atlantic dominance (for one week) is on the line. Neither team has played a Power 5 opponent yet (Boston College hasn’t even played an FBS team), so early returns have been viewed with skepticism. But with Louisville struggling early, it could be a battle between Florida State and Clemson for the Atlantic Division crown. Boston College will be in the conversation with a win, as well.
2. The streak. Florida State has won its last 29 regular season games, by far the longest regular season winning streak in the nation. The last time FSU lost a regular season game: November 24, 2012, when the Noles lost to rival Florida. Florida State hasn’t lost an ACC game since October 6 of that year.
3. Running back by committee. Boston College is averaging more than 275 rushing yards per game, an impressive feat made even more so by the fact that no Eagles running back has more than 117 yards this season. Five BC running backs and two quarterbacks each have at least five carries so far this season. Now that the competition has advanced beyond the FCS, will Steve Addazio settle on a feature back?
