The UNLV Rebels run their way into the Big House on Saturday to take on the Michigan Wolverines.
How to watch UNLV vs. Michigan on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
Big Blue welcomes the Runnin’ Rebels to the Big House.
Big Blue is off to a 1-1 start under their new coach, Jim Harbaugh. Perhaps you’ve heard of him? Michigan followed up a competitive season opening loss to Utah with a much more convincing 35-7 home win over Oregon State that had it’s ... moments.
The big story has been the Michigan defense, currently 14th in the nation, allowing 3.86 yards per play.
They’ll face a UNLV squad looking for its first win after losses to Northern Illinois and UCLA. The Rebels have been brutal on offense, averaging just 3.83 yards per carry on the ground with a team passer rating of 99. They’ve converted just 30 percent of their third down opportunities, and are 120th in the country in F/+.

Three big things to know
1. Jake Rudock
The senior graduate transfer from Iowa has been pretty rough so far, with four interceptions against two touchdowns and averaging just 6.7 yards per attempt. UNLV has allowed 613 passing yards through two games, so there’s a chance for some progress here. Harbaugh hasn’t spoken of trying backup Shane Morris yet, but if Rudock continues to struggle against the Rebels, you have to think there will be some consideration.
2. Jabrill Peppers
The versatile sophomore defensive back has 11 tackles, two tackles for loss and a pass breakup. He’s also the Wolverines’ punt returner. UNLV has thrown an interception in each of its first two games, so there’s a chance for another highlight play.
3. Run the dang ball!
Junior tailback De’Veon Smith had a career day against the Beavers last week with 126 yards and three touchdowns, so expect another heavy workload. Harbaugh has also indicated that senior Drake Johnson, who missed most of last season with a knee injury, could see an increased workload, as well. UNLV has allowed 458 yards on the ground this season, at 5.1 yards per carry.
