Talking about the LSU game earlier this week, Auburn safety Ruby Ford seemed to take the task of defending Leonard Fournette dismissively, saying “shouldn’t be difficult, that much of a challenge.”
Leonard Fournette breaks 71-yarder on first play vs. Auburn, might actually be a ‘challenge’
LSU’s star running back might not be the easiest player to tackle.

— Ben Bolton (@BoltonSports) September 15, 2015 Well, Fournette took the opening handoff 71 yards to the Auburn 5-yard line. He would have scored a touchdown soon after if Brandon Harris had decided to pitch to him instead of keeping the ball on the option. So if that’s what Ford meant by “shouldn’t be difficult” because they weren’t going to let him score on every play, well played, Mr. Ford.
