Update: Despite assumptions (including by SB Nation on social media), Freeman was actually hurt. We’re sorry.
Texas player who appeared to exaggerate injury against Cal was actually hurt

Our sincere well-wishes to Texas linebacker Edwin Freeman, who is in critical condition after being attacked by an invisible ghost monster against Cal:
At first glance, this looks like the worst fake injury I’ve ever seen. Freeman seems fine, then looks over on the sideline, dies, and when he came off the field, he looked perfectly fine. Cal quarterback Jared Goff was ... not thrilled:
But Freeman reportedly did actually hurt his shoulder on the previous play. It seems possible that this is just an example of a confused player unsure how to get off the field and taking a dive, like shoeless Bowling Green guy.
