On November 17, 2007, the University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks walked into Bryant-Denny Stadium and handed the Alabama Crimson Tide a 21-14 defeat in Nick Saban's first season.
How to watch ULM vs. Alabama on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
The Tide are looking to get back on track against an old upset.
Eight seasons later, things have rebounded just a bit for Alabama, but UL-M will always have the memory. And on Saturday, they'll have a chance to make a new one. Of course, Alabama comes in ranked 12th after last week's loss to Ole Miss. Revenge for 2007 isn't likely to be on anybody's mind, but working out some of the frustrations of losing might be.
This marks the second SEC contest or UL-M after opening the season at Georgia in a 51-14 loss. They run a spread style offense very similar to what the Tide struggled with last week. Nick Saban’s always up for a teaching opportunity, so the Warhawks could be facing a very focused Alabama squad.

Three big things to know
1. Run the Dang Ball!
Alabama averages 224 yards per game on the ground, and Henry leads the SEC in touchdowns, but Tide fans would still like to see some changes in how the team goes about running the football. Henry ran for 127 yards last week against a very good Ole Miss defense, but wasn’t heard from in crunch time.
2. Jacob Coker
The senior transfer from Florida State seems to have taken a hold of Alabama’s starting quarterback slot. After a couple of costly interceptions last week, the Tide coaching staff would like to see him manage the offense better. Coker had some issues against Middle Tennessee State in week two, but was efficient against Wisconsin. ULM’s secondary is currently allowing 8.9 yards per passing attempt, 118th in the FBS.
The Warhawk freshman quarterback has completed nearly 80 percent of his passes with five touchdowns in two games. After some noticeable breakdowns last week against Ole Miss, it could be interesting to see how the Tide secondary adjusts against an accurate passer.
