How to watch Maryland vs. West Virginia on TV or online, plus 3 things to know
The Terps head out to Morgantown to take on the Mountaineers.
Dana Holgorsen’s Mountaineers currently rank 11th in S&P+, averaging 43 points per game with quarterback Skyler Howard, averaging 311 passing yards a game and completing a whopping 72 percent of his passes. Defensively, WVU is allowing just 8.5 points per game.
Maryland, 67th in S&P+, has had no problem scoring points with a 37.3 average. Stopping the other team has been a problem to the tune of 28 points per game, including a 48-27 loss to Bowling Green in week 2. The Terps switched from starting quarterback Perry Hills to junior Caleb Rowe and have seen the move pay some dividends thus far. But he’s going to be working against a secondary that’s allowing opponents to complete just 50 percent of passes at a 6.7 yards-per-attempt rate.

Three big things to know
1. D.J. Moore
The Maryland freshman receiver is off to a heck of a start to his career so far, with six catches for 112 yards on 10 targets to date. For Maryland to have any chance, Moore and junior Levern Jacobs will have to produce.
2. College kickers
Actually, this game features two of the nation’s best. Maryland’s Brad Craddock won the 2014 Groza Award, while WVU’s Josh Lambert was a finalist. Should a shootout break out, the team with the ball last may have a chance to close things out with a kick.
3. On the run
Howard has become a surprisingly effective runner at times for the Mountaineers via the zone read, and as Georgia Southern was able to figure out -- relayed by Steven Godfrey -- it has become a frequent feature of WVU’s tempo packages after big pass plays.
