Oregon taking on TCU in the 2016 Alamo Bowl promises to be one of the more pyrotechnic games of the 2015 bowl season, even though we all had to wait until the first Saturday of 2016 to see the matchup of two erstwhile College Football Playoff aspirants. Here's how to watch the Ducks play the Horned Frogs online:

Two of the nation’s most exciting offenses face off in San Antonio.

Time: 6:45 p.m. ET, Jan. 2
Stream: WatchESPN
Oregon’s season went off the rails early on, as an injury to Eastern Washington transfer Vernon Adams left the Ducks in dire straits without a healthy proficient passer. Oregon limped to a 3-3 start that featured a blowout loss to Utah and an overtime defeat against Washington State. But when Adams returned to health and to the field, the Ducks took off: Since that loss to Wazzu, Oregon is undefeated, with wins over Stanford and USC.
TCU has also had to deal with the effect of losing a quarterback in 2015. Heisman candidate Trevone Boykin lost his place as a front-runner for the award after throwing four picks in a lopsided loss at Oklahoma State, but an injury suffered against Kansas also cost him a chance to play against Oklahoma, in a game the Horned Frogs lost by a single point. Boykin returned for TCU's regular season finale against Baylor, and played his heart out in monsoon conditions to help his team get to 10 wins with a double-overtime triumph.
Now Boykin will sit out Saturday after being arrested in San Antonio earlier this week.
While neither team made the top 10 of the final College Football Playoff rankings, their meeting in San Antonio is the last game between ranked teams prior to the Playoff’s championship game.
