The Florida-Georgia game this Saturday afternoon represents one of the oldest and most heated rivalries in all of the SEC. The two teams will be meeting for the 93rd time -- Georgia leads the all-time series 49-42-2 in the nearly 100-year-old rivalry. However, Florida has fared quite well in the series in the last 25 years. In fact, since 1990, the Gators have gone 20-6 against the Bulldogs.
Georgia vs. Florida live stream 2016: How to watch online
One of the SEC East’s most heated rivalries will continue on Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville.

The last time Georgia won in this series came in 2013, after which Florida lost the last five of its games, finishing with an abysmal 4-8 season. Several games in this series have been unpredictable -- in 2014, Florida came in unranked, whereas Georgia had just one loss and was the No. 11-ranked team in the country. The Gators rushed for 418 yards -- the most allowed in UGA program history, and won 38-20. From 2011-13, Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray was able to go 3-0 as a starter against the Gators.
This game’s a huge party, and it’s also totally unpredictable. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Three big things to know
1. Florida has won the last two games in this series: The first one in 2014 marked former Florida head coach Will Muschamp’s first-ever victory over the Bulldogs in his career as Florida’s head coach. Last season, the Gators entered as 3-point favorites, and dominated the Dawgs, winning 27-3. The victory gave Florida head coach Jim McElwain his first-ever win in the series as Florida’s head coach.
2. This game has big SEC East implications: Per usual, this came is critical in the SEC East race. Florida is currently atop the East standings, with a 3-1 conference record, the one loss coming from Tennessee in September. With a Gator victory, Florida would get a huge leg up in the standings -- Kentucky has two conference losses to both Florida and Alabama on its record.
3. Georgia is desperately looking for a win: UGA head coach Kirby Smart’s first season in Athens has gone less than ideally. The Bulldogs are 4-3, and coming off an upset, 17-16 loss to Vanderbilt at home. The Vandy victory marked just the third win over Georgia in the last 22 meetings. The Dawgs would love nothing more than to ruin Florida’s chances of making it back to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game.
