Dalvin Cook had time to wave bye bye to Clemson’s defense on this 70-yard TD run

Hey, maybe he was just being polite!

Thanks to Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, the ‘Noles were able to take a 28-20 lead over No. 3 Clemson in the third quarter Saturday night. The junior running back went 70 yards for a touchdown late in the period, which marked his third touchdown of the night against Clemson’s defense.

What’s even more impressive is the fact that Cook had time to politely wave goodbye to Clemson’s defense while bursting ahead 70 yards for the score. He wasn’t done there, though — when he reached the end zone, he gave a gesture that looks like a sprinter breaking the tape at the end of a race.

The ‘Noles’ offense got going as soon as Cook got loose — he’s been able to run for 172 yards and four touchdowns, scoring all but seven of Florida State’s 34 points against the Tigers. He’s been so good, he even got a compliment from one of his peers, LSU running back Leonard Fournette, who’s considered to be one of the best backs in the nation, along with Cook.

Cook’s career at Florida State has been nothing but outstanding. He’s rushed for 3,599 yards and 34 touchdowns. Last season was arguably his most impressive numbers-wise, rushing for 1,691 yards and 16 touchdowns. In 2015, he also broke Warrick Dunn’s single-season rushing record he set at Florida State in 1995 as well.

If Florida State can beat Clemson, a huge part of that is because of what Cook has been able to do on Saturday night.
