While college football’s top 5 likely stays the same, the back half of the top 10 will have a shakeup, and the rest of the top 25 will see a whole lot of shuffling.
2016 college football rankings, Week 7: What should Monday’s new top 25 look like?
The AP Poll’s being released on Monday this week (over here, we’re collecting polls and a couple computer ratings as they’re released), but here’s a guess at the new top 25.

The magic ran out for Tennessee, even after Kevin Sumlin played with fire and called the Vols lucky. Miami and Florida State came down to a kick (imagine that). Houston’s playoff chances may have bit the dust, but we may have gotten the college football coaching GIF of the year, so it’s cool.
Further down the polls, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Ole Miss, Florida, and Baylor likely move up after not playing games this week.
Big losers this week: Stanford, Arkansas, and North Carolina all bite the dust and could be out of the polls.
Since the AP Poll and presumably the Coaches Poll won’t be out until Monday afternoon this week, thanks to Georgia-South Carolina being delayed to Sunday afternoon, here’s a guess at how the new top 25 will look after Week 6 finally finishes. These aren’t our rankings, just our guess at the rankings, based on many years of looking at polls every week. Drop your own in the comments!
