The Cougar touchdown that put Houston up 17-0 came on a wild play, in which quarterback Greg Ward Jr.’s pass was tipped but then caught by a Houston receiver, who waltzed into the end zone.
Louisville’s offense has struggled mightily early on in the game. On the first play of the night, the Cardinals fumbled the opening kick, which set up a Houston touchdown to take an early lead. To put it further in perspective, here’s a look at Louisville’s drive chart so far.
A field goal toward the end of the first quarter gave the Cougars a 10-0 lead. If Louisville wants to impress the Playoff committee, it has to do much better on offense -- and defense, quite honestly.
