The right foot of Darren Carrington II dealt a crushing blow to the Pac-12 South title hopes of Utah on Saturday. Carrington caught a touchdown pass in the back corner of the end zone with two seconds remaining for a 30-28 win for Oregon.

The play ended a wild fourth quarter that saw five lead-changing touchdowns.
Initially, the pass was ruled incomplete but was overturned on replay.
Utah (8-3, 5-3) with a win would have had its destiny in its own hands, playing Colorado (8-2, 6-1) next week for a chance to win the Pac-12 South. Now with the loss, the Utes could be beaten in the division by either the Buffs or USC (7-3, 6-2), the latter playing later Saturday night against UCLA.
The Utes can still win the Pac-12 South, but they need Colorado to lose to Washington State on Saturday, and USC to fall to UCLA, followed by a Utah win at Colorado next week.
