Eastern Michigan beats Central Michigan on this leaping, twisting TD catch in the final seconds

That’s a nice grab.

After scoring 14 unanswered points to come back and take a late lead, Central Michigan would not have the last laugh, as Eastern Michigan’s Sergio Bailey II hauled in this catch to win the game with 19 seconds left.

On a wild night of MACTION in which all three games ended within a touchdown, this ending was the wildest. On the drive before this, the Chippewas took a 21-20 lead after running back Devon Spalding took this run 41 yards to the house.

But the Eagles would not be denied in their second season ever being bowl eligible. Eastern Michigan finishes the season at 7-5, the third-most wins in school history. The season has had its ups and its downs — after starting the year 4-1, the Eagles went 2-4 in their next six and have limped to the end of the season. But this boost sends them into bowl season in a big way after a huge turnaround in coach Chris Creighton’s third season.
