The Solid Verbal: USC, Georgia, Ohio State, and the spring things we actually learned
The nuggets that came out of another weird and crazy spring.

Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports
We like spring football because we like college football however we can get it, but let’s try to approach agreeing on one thing - not much happens in spring games beyond coaches making sure players either can still or have learned to do very basic things correctly. That said, there were some big questions answered and new ones to think about going into the summer and fall:
• What will an Ohio State defensive front look like replacing potential first round picks Joey Bosa and Darron Lee?
• Is the Georgia starting QB job Jacob Eason’s to lose?
• Did any of the QBs in Alabama’s race separate themselves?
• Is Notre Dame better off with DeShone Kizer or Malik Zaire leading the offense?
• Where does it appear USC’s strength and weakness will be as they transition to a new starting QB and a new (full time) head coach?
• How excited should we be about Texas and Shane Buchele showing (gasp!) a little bit of offense?
• How excited should we be about Penn State and Trace McSorley showing (gasp!) a little bit of offense?
