Former first-team All-ACC Georgia Tech defensive tackle Joe Anoa’i won his third WWE championship Sunday night at WrestleMania. He goes by Roman Reigns now. The crowd doesn’t like him, but the company does. Either way, this solidifies the fake sports record of the former college captain, NFL signee, and brief CFL starter.
Georgia Tech’s Roman Reigns is one of the most accomplished football rasslers ever

Among real-life-college-football-players-turned-pro-wrestlers, his number of WWE heavyweight title runs is now behind only Springfield College center John Cena’s 12, Miami defensive tackle The Rock’s eight (Reigns’ IRL cousin), and North Texas defensive end Stone Cold Steve Austin’s six. Four-time champ Brock Lesnar, an NCAA championship wrestler at Minnesota, also made an NFL practice squad.
I don’t know why title runs and not title defenses is the number to use, but it’s the one WWE pushes the most, probably because it’s the easiest to keep track of. OK, that’s enough about fake sports, I guess. Here are some very serious headlines of sports importance.

- Florida State gets its 2017 QB: Georgia four-star Bailey Hockman.
- Andre Rison’s son re-commits to Michigan State,
- Cal earned a commit from a four-star wide receiver! Hooray, Cal!
- So did Colorado! Hooray, Colorado!
- In non-commit news, 2017’s most famous name says Texas is his No. 1.
The best spring break includes breaking a woman out of a car that’s plunging into water, as a group of Iowa State players discovered.
One Weird Trick for sacking a quarterback, by LSU’s new defensive coordinator.
Former Syracuse head coach Scott Shafer has already stepped down from Maryland’s staff. Here’s where the Terps go now.
New mock draft, with TCU’s Josh Docston making a big run. Doctson + Odell Beckham Jr.?
Villanova pasted Oklahoma in the Final Four, thanks in part to this wide-open touchdown pass against a Big 12 secondary.
Jim Harbaugh Is Weird. Here he was driving a Corvette indoors, and here he was on stage with rapper Lil Dicky to sind the national anthem. Nothing that appears in the Jim Harbaugh Is Weird section is ever a lie.
