The Clemson Tigers went 14-0 straight up and 7-7 against the spread in their 14 games leading up to a 45-40 loss in last year’s National Championship Game to Alabama. The Tigers will try to run the table and win the ACC title again in 2016.
ACC championship odds 2016: Clemson and FSU the betting favorites
The Clemson Tigers and the Florida State Seminoles are big favorites over the field.

Clemson is a +150 favorite on the odds to win the ACC Championship at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. While the Tigers will have some big holes to fill on defense, the offense should once again be one of the best in the country led by Heisman frontrunner Deshaun Watson at quarterback.
The biggest threat to another undefeated season for the Tigers comes in a late October road game against the Florida State Seminoles.
In what was expected to be a rebuilding season for the Seminoles in 2015, Florida State (+225 to win the ACC Championship) enjoyed a strong 10-3 SU and 8-5 ATS campaign. With last year’s experience, this season’s group could get Florida State back into the playoff picture.
Dalvin Cook was one of the best rushers in the nation last season with 1,691 yards and 19 touchdowns on just 229 carries. Florida State is 8-1 SU and 5-4 ATS in its last nine home games against Clemson per the OddsShark College Football Database.
Only one team will be able to advance to the ACC Championship Game out of the ACC Atlantic. Many see this division as a two-horse race between Clemson and Florida State, but Louisville (+1000 to win the ACC Championship), North Carolina State (+2000), Wake Forest (+7500), Syracuse (+7500) and Boston College (+10000) will also try to play their way into the mix.
The Atlantic Division has won each of the last five ACC Championship Games, with Clemson winning two and Florida State winning three.
The ACC Coastal Division will try to buck that trend next year in a potentially wide open race between Miami (+900), North Carolina (+1000), Virginia Tech (+1000), Pittsburgh (+1400), Georgia Tech (+1600), Duke (+4000), and Virginia (+7500).
North Carolina won the ACC Coastal in 2015 and finished the year with an impressive 11-3 SU and 8-6 ATS record. The Tar Heels lost starting quarterback Marquise Williams this offseason, but the return of standout running back Elijah Hood should keep the team in contention.
