The Solid Verbal: The college football teams that could make a crazy playoff leap
It’s not as ridiculous as it may sound.

In part three of our five-part 2016 season preview series, we ask and attempt to (to the best of our ability, honest) answer the following questions:
• If Auburn can find consistent QB play from John Franklin III (or whoever ends up starting), can a scary defensive front be enough to not only keep the Tigers in games, but also return to being a dangerous team?
• Will key losses on Oklahoma State’s defense mean that Oklahoma State will have to win shootouts behind QB Mason Rudolph to threaten double digit regular season wins?
• Can Michigan State, with new full-time starting QB Tyler O’Connor, produce enough on offense to support what should be another stout Spartan defense?
• If Mississippi State can run the ball and get above average production out of presumed starting QB Nick Fitzgerald, can they again surprise in the SEC West?
• With Louisville returning so many important pieces, will 2016 be a transformational year for the Cardinals?
• Will a fierce defense be enough to get Florida back to a double digit win level?
• If Oregon is once again able to get good QB play from an FCS transfer AND a serviceable defense from new defensive coordinator Brady Hoke, can they return to double digit wins?
• Is this the year Arkansas puts together a complete season?
