College football odds 2016, Week 2 lines: Buckeyes, Tide among big betting favorites
The Ohio State Buckeyes and Alabama Crimson Tide face tune-up games against solid offensive teams as double-digit odds favorites this week.

Ohio State is a 28-point home favorite against Tulsa at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. Since the start of the 2013 season, the Buckeyes are 19-0 SU and 8-11 ATS in 19 games as a favorite of 20 points or more. Tulsa has had success covering the spread on the road with a 7-0 ATS record in its last seven road games.

The Alabama Crimson Tide opened as a 24-point favorite at home against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, but that spread has moved all the way up to Alabama -27 as action pours in on the favorite.
The Crimson Tide are just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games at home, but Saturday’s 52-6 win over USC in Arlington seems to be swaying bettors towards the defending champions this week. Western Kentucky is 5-0 ATS in its last five games after a win.
After being on the losing end of one of the worst losses in the program’s history, the Trojans will try to bounce back as a 16.5-point favorite at home against the Utah State Aggies.
Utah State hasn’t shown much bite as a betting underdog in recent seasons with a 3-13 SU and 5-10 ATS record in its last 15 games as a dog. USC is 6-2 SU and 5-3 ATS in its last eight games as a home favorite per the OddsShark College Football Database.
The South Carolina Gamecocks opened as 9.5-point underdogs on the road against Mississippi State this week, but are all the way down to +6.5 coming off a win on Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Mississippi State looked awful in its home opener against the South Alabama Jaguars, losing outright as a 28.5-point favorite. The Bulldogs appeared to be in control with a 17-0 lead at the half, but eventually coughed up that lead in a shocking 21-20 loss.
