In a game that went about as far away from type as humanly possible, No. 10 Oklahoma State beat Texas, 13-10. The final play was this Sam Ehlinger pass which was intercepted.
Texas just lost to Oklahoma State in overtime on a horrible interception
Texas, nooooooooo.

From another angle you can see what Ehlinger was trying to do, but I’m not sure what exactly it was. He’s got a WR coming across the back of the end zone, but this also might be him trying to throw the ball away.
This game was so clunky offensively that Oklahoma State played for overtime at the end of regulation. After the game, Mike Gundy said Texas’ punter almost won the game for the Longhorns.
For the Pokes, it was a question of executing against a surprisingly salty Texas defense. The Cowboys ran over 80 plays in regulation, an optimal number for them, but were unable to really get much going with a 4.8 yards-per-play clip. Things were so herky jerky that this is about the best way we can summarize the day.
Texas entered 3-3, with a couple of close-call losses against elite opponents. The Longhorns almost beat then-No. 4 USC in Week 2, when they lost by three in double-overtime. They almost beat then-No. 12 Oklahoma in Week 7, when they lost by five after coming back from a 20-0 deficit. The Longhorns had an ugly loss to Maryland in Week 1, but they’ve played competitive ball for the majority of the season. Now you can add Oklahoma State to the almosts.
Again, the Horns asked Ehlinger to do quite a bit with 16 rushes and 36 passes. As long as Ehlinger can stay healthy, Texas’ offense is at least competent and they held their water against Oklahoma State.
But the Pokes entered 5-1, with a No. 2-ranked scoring offense that had been dropping 49 points per game. The Cowboys have made a habit of setting defenses ablaze, but the Longhorns made life difficult on quarterback Mason Rudolph. The Cowboys’ point totals in their other games this year: 59, 44, 59, 31, 41, and 59. Not today. WR James Washington was largely held under wraps with only four catches, and Gundy said Texas’ defense played great.
The offense just needed to make one more play.
