Syracuse quarterback Eric Dungey doesn’t dodge defenders like he’s a quarterback. During Saturday’s game against the No. 8 Miami Hurricanes, Dungey hit Canes defensive back Sheldrick Redwine with a vicious hurdle on a second-down rushing play.
Syracuse QB Eric Dungey keeps hurdling over defenders, and here’s his silliest jump yet
This dude is fearless.

Aaaand he did it again later in the fourth quarter, which set up an Orange field goal to pull his team within one point at 20-19:
The leap gave his offense a first down plus a few more yards, too. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Dungey hurdle over people like this.
Last season, he scored a touchdown against Virginia on a similar hurdle-type play. He’s known for this kind of thing.
He leapt into the end zone on a touchdown against Connecticut last season, too.
Dungey, who’s a junior this season is a former three-star dual-threat quarterback recruit from the class of 2015. Last season, he threw for 2,679 yards and 15 touchdowns. Entering the game against Miami, he’s already thrown for 2,080 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just four interceptions in 2017.
Oh, and fun fact: he dumped grape soda on himself last week.
We’ll see if he hurdles anyone else this season — my guess is we certainly will. Stay fearless, my dude.
