SMU beat Cincinnati after converting a FOURTH-AND-26 IN OVERTIME

The Mustangs pull off one of the most improbable overtime wins you’ll ever see.

SMU and Cincinnati were locked at 28 in overtime. The Mustangs faced a fourth-and-26 after a recovered fumble and a sack, and then:

Lol.

That was Ben Hicks finding Trey Quinn. The Mustangs kicked a field goal to make it 31-28.

The Bearcats got the ball back, ran a couple times, and threw a backwards pass that SMU picked off. That was that.

Hicks finished with 295 yards and two touchdowns. Quinn had 186 yards receiving.

Chad Morris’ SMU is now one win away from bowl eligibility, which would end a four-year postseason drought. You gotta win some normal ones, and you gotta win some silly ones.
