Saquon Barkley is just toying with Michigan by bobbling 42-yard TD catches now

Penn State’s running back is at it again.

Penn State running back Saquon Barkley is your odds-on Heisman Trophy winner in 2017, because he’s putting up big numbers and monster highlights on an elite team.

Here are more numbers and more highlights:

Barkley has had himself a night against Michigan on Saturday. He had 111 yards and a touchdown on his first 14 carries, including a 69-yard score on the very first one.

Add that 42-yard receiving touchdown to his docket now, too. You’ll never convince me that Barkley didn’t just bobble Trace McSorley’s throw on purpose as part of a wide-ranging effort to convince people he’s a real person and not just some football robot.

Barkley, a junior, is wildly good. We’ll look back on his college career after he’s an NFL first-round pick next spring and feel lucky that we got to watch him do his thing on this level. In the meantime, he’s got a chance to take Penn State a long way.
