How to watch the Blue Devils and Hokies in ACC action.

The Blue Devils are coming off of their fourth straight loss, and they will need to put together the missing pieces in order to pull a win off on Saturday. In most cases this season, Duke’s finest attribute has been its defense. Teams often find it difficult to rush the ball upfield against Duke’s front line.
However, last Saturday the Blue Devils appeared to struggle on defense as Pittsburgh rushed for 336 yards. That said, Virginia Tech may look to running backs Coleman Fox and Trayvon McMillian to test out their luck against Duke’s defense.

Duke vs. Virginia Tech news:
The truth is that Duke is struggling, right now, and they’d absolutely love to turn their season around and scrap their way into bowl contention by returning last year’s favor of a close loss. David Cutcliffe knows what he’s up against; but he also knows – and won’t say that he does – the weaknesses that will make this a much more challenging game than the wise guys think.
Virginia Tech wins in a close one if we start slow on offense and struggle to cover the Duke QB on defense. I am hoping the weather isn’t horrid, but given the history of the Hokies being “Mudders” that might not be a bad thing. This might very well be a ball control and field position game.
It’s been said over the years how good Bud Foster’s defenses usually are. Sometimes, the group doesn’t live up to expectations. Outside of a shootout in Week 1 against West Virginia, this unit is outstanding. On Saturday, the Hokies held UNC to 172 total yards and if it wasn’t for a late touchdown primarily against backups, Foster would’ve had yet another shutout.
The defense sacked UNC quarterbacks six times, forced three turnovers and Ricky Walker picked up a fumble and returned it for a touchdown.
Duke vs. Virginia Tech Prediction:
Losing four games straight is tough on any team, and it won’t get any easier for Duke against the momentum Virginia Tech is going to bring to Saturday’s matchup. Hokies win.
