Mike Gundy has a great response to Oklahoma State beating WVU despite allowing 2 non-offensive TDs in 45 seconds

A wild turn in Morgantown gave WVU life — briefly — in a 50-39 Pokes win.

With four minutes left in the third quarter on Saturday, No. 11 Oklahoma State had a 30-10 lead at No. 22 West Virginia. One minute later, West Virginia’s offense hadn’t taken the field again, but that that lead was 30-24 thanks to:

  • a violent punt block in Oklahoma State’s end zone, recovered by the Mountaineers’ Marvin Gross for an always-thrilling 0-yard return touchdown
  • a 39-yard Kenny Robinson interception return TD, after OSU’s Mason Rudolph threw an ill-advised pass that Robinson had covered all the way

(Rudolph never, ever should’ve thrown that ball.)

But this didn’t matter, because Oklahoma State dominated afterward.

The final score was 50-39, and WVU never got that close again. The Pokes mounted an offensive onslaught, and Mike Gundy made this good point afterward:
