LSU’s marching band honored 5 military branches with this awesome Veterans Day medley

This is excellent all the way around.

LSU had a home football game on this Veterans Day weekend, a 33-10 win against Arkansas. The LSU marching band’s halftime show was a deeply cool tribute to the holiday, complete with airplanes, boats, and submarines.

The Golden Band from Tiger Land calls this the Armed Forces Medley, with one part of the routine honoring five U.S. military branches:

The Air Force:

The Navy:

And a thank you to cap it all off:

College football’s pretty good sometimes.

This is an awesome way to honor service members. Marching bands are objectively great, because marching in sync while playing music is excruciatingly hard. I know this because I can neither march in sync nor play music, let alone do both. It takes hours and hours of practice to carry out a tribute like this, and LSU makes it even better by having vets of each branch stand while the band is recognizing them.

Hope everyone had a good Veterans Day.
