The undefeated UCF Knights have been one of college football’s biggest surprises this season. They currently sit atop of the AAC East. But for No. 15 UCF to keep its impressive win streak alive, it will have travel to Philadelphia and knock off the Temple Owls — who are on a two-game win streak. This matchup will begin on Saturday at noon ET, and ESPNU (livestream) will broadcast the action.

The undefeated UCF will travel to Philadelphia to clash with Temple.

The Owls dominated the AAC East the prior two seasons — winning consecutive division titles and the conference title in 2016. Now Temple, which is one game away from being bowl-eligible, is a two-touchdown underdog.
UCF (9-0, 6-0 AAC) averages nearly 49 points per game this season, so the key to victory is to continue scoring points. The Knights’ rushing attack, led by running back Adrian Killins Jr., amassed 1,892 yards and 31 touchdowns on the ground this season. Sophomore quarterback McKenzie Milton, who has already thrown for 2,720 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, is orchestrating the Knights’ 19th-ranked pass offense.
The Temple Owls (5-5, 3-3 AAC), on the other hand, have surrendered 26.5 points per game so far this season. They have to play better defense to have a shot at handing UCF its first loss of the year. Offensively, the Owls have to find success on the ground, something Temple hasn’t done this season. The Owls have racked up only 1,243 rushing yards and averaged 3.5 yards per carry this year.

UCF vs. Temple News
UCF Knights fans are not used to having teams that can make loads of mistakes and still win by a dominant margin.
Well, that’s what we’ve got now. Despite sometimes sloppy play (especially in the third quarter), the ultimate outcome was never in doubt.
Early on, it looked like things would wind up even more lopsided than they did. The UConn Huskies’ second drive was a disaster. Tony Guerad fell on a dropped toss. Though initially ruled an incomplete pass by UConn QB David Pindell was reversed on review and ruled a fumble and Knights’ ball.
Junior Frank Nutile cemented himself as the starting quarterback for the Temple Owls with a 35-24 win over the Cincinnati Bearcats on Friday to keep their bowl dreams alive with a 5-5 record.
Nutile threw for 224 yards and a touchdown and added 28 yards and a rushing score to push the Owls to a .500 record in the American Athletic Conference and overall. He even caught a pass from Isaiah Wright for a two-point conversion on a trick play to move them a win away from bowl-eligibility.
It wasn’t a great start for the Owls as Nutile’s second pass of the game was picked off by Marquese Taylor. While it goes down as an interception in the record books, the ball was tipped into the air, making it a relatively easy play for Taylor. The Bearcats could not capitalize and it wasn’t much longer before the Owls scored the first points and never looked back.
UCF vs. Temple prediction
UCF is clearly the class of the AAC East, and it will remain undefeated after Saturday. Temple cannot score enough points to keep up with UCF, and its defense gives up too many points.
