Look how quickly all this snow showed up in this North Dakota State-Illinois State game

The white stuff rolled in fast and furious.

Weather can turn quickly up north. But I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it turn this quickly in a football game. This snow went 0-60 in very short order in Normal, Illinois.

That’s roughly four game minutes, so right around 15-20 realtime minutes, give or take a few. The other thing is this was what started out as rain and rapidly became snow.

I know what you’re thinking, that this is football weather and you’re happy that it’s here finally. I caution you against celebrating weather that renders an entire phase of the game a moot point, but do you.

The snow’s a helluva visual. North Dakota State in the snow is also pretty interesting, given the fact that they play in a domed stadium. They adjusted pretty fine to the adverse conditions away from the Fargo Dome. The Bison pulled out the win, 20-7, and won their third outright Missouri Valley conference in the process.
