Admire this exquisite punt by Auburn’s Aidan Marshall against Alabama:
There’s just so much happening during this amazing Auburn Iron Bowl punt
Rarely does one punt offer so much to digest.

I didn’t know it was possible for a punt to be so exciting on so many levels.
1. The punt itself is an absolute beauty. Marshall boots this thing 42 yards to the Alabama 2, and it’s almost impossible to pinpoint something this well. Here’s how close the ball went from going into the end zone for a touchback:
2. The con executed by Alabama return man Trevon Diggs is really good, too. Diggs draws four Tigers right to him, even though he’s 10 yards away from where the punt’s actually coming down. Diggs’ plan would’ve worked if the ball had cooperated and not bounced parallel to the goal line. It was a more than respectable effort on his part.
So we had a truly extraordinary amount of punting drama packed into, like, two seconds. Thanks to all parties involved for making special teams fun.
