Auburn fans stormed the field after beating Bama. Some got stuck in the bushes.

War. Damn. Bushes.

Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn was the center of the college football world on Saturday afternoon. After the Tigers beat Alabama to win the SEC West, thousands of Auburn students rushed the field.

For the most part, that went well. Look at this mass of humanity!

Others had a more difficult time making their way onto the playing surface. That’s because Jordan-Hare has bushes separating the stands from the bleachers.

The thing about bushes is that they’re hard to fight through:

I’ve got respect for the people who tried to jump all the way over and got stuck in the middle. I’ve got respect for the people who cleared the plant life with an explosive broad jump. Everyone involved put forward a good effort here.

They’ve got good reason to be stoked, of course. Their team is 60 minutes away from making the first Playoff in its history. And even if this game had no postseason ramifications whatsoever, beating Bama’s a huge deal on the Plains.
