Oregon defensive back Arrion Springs has an early contender for best interception of the bowl season with this Odell Beckham-esque grab

Arrion Springs shows that DBs can definitely catch.

Look at this absolute beauty of an interception.

I’m willing to bet there won’t be a better pick this entire bowl season, but it is early.

This is a pick akin to that of Odell Beckham Jr., the New York Giants all-world wide reciever. Earlier in the season, Georgia’s Terry Godwin had a circus pick much like Spring’s.

At the time, I wanted to call that catch of the year (and I kinda still do).

It doesn’t matter that the gloves he has on make him basically spiderman, if you’re sticking out one meaty paw and bringing the pigskin down like that with an epic Moss session of that poor Notre Dame DB. We should all light candles at the Grotto in South Bend for our man at DB Julian Love. We don’t really have true posterizations in football, but this was close enough.

For now, I’m content calling Springs’ catch the best pick of the very young bowl season.
