Duke football sang ‘Santa Claus Is Coming To Town’, and it was festive as hell

This is actually impressive.

Need a little help getting in the Christmas spirit? Duke’s football team is here to help. On Friday morning, the team appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, where they sang the popular Christmas song Santa Claus is Coming To Town. The team performed it in front of the Union Baptist Church in Durham. The team put its own spin on Jackson 5’s Motown version of the song, a type of music that originated in Detroit.

The Blue Devils will be playing Northern Illinois in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit on Dec. 26. Duke isn’t the only football team that’s spreading cheer this season — last week, the entire Auburn defense sang Silent Night in unison:

I’m obviously not a musical expert, but I have to say Duke’s performance had to be stronger than Auburn’s, especially in the harmonization department.

Shoutout to Duke for putting on quite the festive performance a couple of days before Christmas!
