Houston Cougars defensive tackle Ed Oliver is one of the best players in college football in his capacity as, well, a defensive tackle. But he can do this, too:
Houston’s All-American defensive tackle scored a touchdown at running back after stepping on a sea urchin
Ed Oliver can do everything.

Oliver (No. 10) lined up as a running back in the shotgun and plunged in from a yard out to open the scoring in UH’s Hawaii Bowl against Fresno State on Christmas Eve. It was the first carry in Oliver’s two-year college career, and it went for six. The Cougars eventually lost, though at least they got this cool moment.
Oliver is a listed 6’3 and 290 pounds, but he moves like a linebacker in a tackle’s body. How’d you like to have this kind of mass rumbling toward you at this speed?
Oliver is a first-teamer at DT on SB Nation’s All-America Team. He also appeared on that list as a true freshman, after the five-star Houstonian decided to stay home and dominate for the Cougars in 2016. He can now add “100 percent touchdown rate as a running back” to his list of accomplishments before he turns pro in a year or two.
Making Oliver’s touchdown more impressive, it came after he stepped on a sea urchin during a game-week trip to a Hawaiian beach, ESPN reported.
That’s happened before at the Hawaii Bowl, and it sounds like something that’d be deeply painful. This is what a sea urchin looks like:
Ed Oliver: Superman.
