Hello, may I interest you in a pair of BACK-TO-BACK kickoff return TDs during the Arizona Bowl?

Lol WUT.

OH HEY THERE ARIZONA BOWL! Early in the first quarter of Friday afternoon’s game between Utah State and New Mexico State, we had a pair of back-to-back kickoff return touchdowns. No, really! The first one came from Utah State’s Savon Scarver, who took it back a whole 96 yards back to the house to give his team a 7-3 lead with 11:01 left.

At one point, it looked like Scarver was going to be taken down, but he was too fast for the defender. Then, literally 14 seconds of game clock later, Utah State’s Jason Huntley took it back a whopping 100 yards on the ensuing kickoff, to give his team back the lead at 10-7.

Huntley’s 100-yard kickoff return marks just the eighth 100-yard kickoff return in NMSU history, and it was a beauty.

With a pair of early scores like these, this year’s Arizona Bowl already looks like it’s going to be fun throughout. New Mexico State is playing for its first bowl victory in program history on Friday afternoon.
