Penn State coach James Franklin was presumably happy on Saturday evening, because his football team had just beaten Washington in the Fiesta Bowl. Big win!
James Franklin got a cooler dumped on him after the Fiesta Bowl, and he looked like he wanted to fight someone
Some things are serious.

But Franklin had Gatorade, or some similar substance, dumped on him. Likely water:
And then he did an incredible impression of someone who wanted to tussle:
Franklin has a sense of humor, and that sense of humor occasionally involves acting like he’s furious when he’s probably not. It’s a regular thing for him to exchange playful punches with players coming off the field after big plays.
Just at halftime Saturday, he told ESPN he was angry because his QB, Trace McSorley, had punched him in the chest after a touchdown. Was he really angry? I don’t know. That’s a personal matter. There have been other times where Franklin’s been actually mad, such as when he chased down PSU players who were leaving the field without shaking hands after a loss to Michigan State this season.
Franklin was sort of smiling by the end of this little exchange, after he looked like he was ready to rumble with defensive back Marcus Allen (No. 2).
I just hope a good time was had by all.
